Ak47 trigger question.

Is a double hook trigger better for creep/pull or should I invest in an adjustable trigger? I'm going to cut the rear off of my original and keep it for a spare anyway. Double hook ~$35 Adjustable ~$75.

My personal opinion is go with the double hook. Unless you are competition shooting, which you normally wouldn't with an AK, the adjustable trigger is an extra expense you should skip. Save the money for ammo.

I agree... I don't think I would want mine to be any lighter or smoother than the G2 is.

ETA - If you can swing it, grab a retainer plate while you're at it. It slides/drops right in and the safety lever's stud fixes it in place. No more having to hold your mouth just right to get the shepherd's hook in and out.

Yea that part is on the list. Didn't think the adjustable trigger was necessary considering I'm not going for any world cup long-range accuracy or doing any bumping.

I put double hooks on all my AKs. They are better than the single hooks which are better than the factory FCGs. Just remember that you will most likely need to modify the receiver to fit the double hook. Also pay attention to the way you install the hammer, it can be installed backward so make sure that it goes in the same way your old one came out.

+1 on the shepherd's hook replacement. You'll be glad you did.

The Red Star trigger is the Cadillac of AK triggers ,
but probably overkill unless you're building a Very Special AK.
For the diff you can buy a couple more mags.
