Ruger 10/22 even trade for Spartan 12 gauge?
I'm thinking about either selling or trading my Ruger 10/22 carbine for a Remington Spartan SPR 210/220, 12 gauge.
Does anyone own of of these shotguns, and if so are they worthy? I'm not sure whether my .22 would be worth giving up for one of these. I don't use it at all, and it's not practical for home defense. I really want a shotgun for this purpose. There's a gun show coming up this weekend and I'm thinking of bringing it for a possible trade. It's a really nice 10/22. It has some kind of rainbow like finish with red/green/blue/ and gray. It's a real looker and has a scope and all. It's very accurate and I'm sure one like this is hard to come by. I've searched and searched and haven't found another like it on the web. I'll try to post some pics later. I just don't want to regret getting rid of it if these shotguns aren't worthy. Thanks to all

never heard of spartan. If your 10/22 has the laminated stock it is worth a bit more than the walnut stock version. Personally, I would sell it and buy a rem 870 or mossberg 500.

I'm pretty sure the Spartan shotguns come out of Russia, possibly Baikal? Looked at one in a gunshop a little while back, it was on sale for $300. Stoeger Coach guns also tend to run around the same price. I have my Stoeger coach gun as my home defense gun in my college apartment for now, and I am comfortable with it. Its a lot lighter and shorter than my Mossberg 500, although the difference in ammo capacity is huge, obviously with 2 for the coach gun, and 8 for the Mossberg.
Don't know about how much your 10/22 is worth.

I vote keep the 10/22, unless its a stock 10/22. Then save $20- or more a week aside, and get a Mossberg.
