Weird poll, AR's are far from unreliable..

I voted AR, however, I would take either or happily, as the AK inaccuracy argument doesn't always hold either with a nice AK..

Reply to bones : Aren't those Aimpoint 2X red dot scopes great? Put one on my Mini 30 and can knock bowling pins around all day at 100 yds almost as fast as I can pull the trigger. dgang

AR, more familiar w/ its manual of arms, faster reloads, more accurate shots. with the current troubles though, the 5.56 round has been heavily criticized.

Without reading every page on here....

I'll take a AK74 and the accuracy issue is barely arguable. The only weakness to the AK74 is the ergonomics, but that doesn't bother me.
