I'm confused. Fox is claiming that the firearm is a machine gun. The only M-16 firearm line of which I'm aware is an assault rifle line. What is this M-16 "machine gun"? Is it a larger variant of the M-16 assault rifle that requires a stationary mount, or is it a different firearm completely?

I bet one of those rich antis buys it then has it publicly destroyed as a publicity stunt. It's kind of the reverse of usual gun buy back programs. Maybe this is what a buy back program should be? (selling back to the public an item from our "servant" government)

A machine gun by legal definition is any full-auto firearm. This means M-60s, assault rifles, submachine guns and auto pistols (and in some cases, shoe laces)

Fox is correct in calling it a machine gun, but our laws are misleading in their definitions. There are no hard rules when it comes to defining a weapon. One mans grenade launcher is another's machine gun and another's auto-cannon. One man's carbine is another's submachine gun.
