Yugo model 70 ak's are they worth it?

I saw a model 70 at the local gun shop ($380). It had a stamped receiver, different internals, better wood and a rubber but pad. The dealer said that standard ak after market items would probably not fit it.

The parts he said the would not work were pistol grip, for-grip, internal parts, and any gas tube mods as the gas tube and for grip are longer. is there any way to customize these rifles? Would it be harder to find parts later? Are they any more accurate/reliable then say a Romanian?

Yugo's are pretty good and that sounds like a good deal. Many AK accessories won't work because, the Yugo are made with a thicker receiver (1.5mm, IRRC).

For more info, check the Kalashnikov forum at warrior talk. There are a couple of guys there who specialize in building AK's.

Yugo's are great guns.
If you're worried about replacement parts, there are dealers out there who sell all the parts for the Yugo.

If you can get an AK for under $400 it's worth it.
