Butler creek barrels are some of the most underated out there. I have a few and they do great for a lot less $.

Put another couple hundred through it yesterday and I'm convinced I'm needing the trigger worked on. Love the rifle but not loving the trigger. I smell a rebuild coming!

Another option I'm looking at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0925&rd=1&rd=1

I kind of like the mag release on the STS rebuild vs. the Hornet drop in, but I like the fact that I can do the Hornet install at home. Hmmm...decisions, decisions.

10/22 triggers are really not all that hard to work on, just take your time and pay attention. The drop ins are OK if you dont want to fool with it much.

only reason im thinking of a drop in is its only about 10 bucks less for the do it your self kit so why not get the complete and forget the hassle

Yeah, the next one I do will most likely have a drop in... like you said, its only ten bucks, and the time I will save. My fingers will thank me.
