Ruger 10/22

I just bought one of these little gems (the standard carbine-all wood version) and it has jumped up to the top of my "fun to shoot" category, at least for now! I added a 4x BSA scope and a sling but other than that it's bone-stock. I may upgrade the trigger because it's around 6-8 pounds now....very tough. Anyhow, with ammo the way it is you can't beat getting 550 rounds of .22lr for $10.50. I hit a quarter sized piece of clay pigeon at 100 yards with it........beautiful! Here's a shot of her:

Nice Little Shooter...

I bought one a while back, but haven't gotten around to shooting it yet...I wish I could just shoot out of the back door...but all the cars and houses would get in the way!

Did you get any bananna mags (30 rounders)?

Stay armed...enjoy...stay safe!

HnKuspDude: Where did you get the pieces/parts for that? I gotta build one of those!

10/22's are like old Chevy's; tons of aftermarket parts and fun to soup up.

Sisco...the stock is from RB Precision, its CNC machined, the grip is a 1911 grip adapter, the trigger, charger bolt handle and mag release were made by a fella on Rimfirecentral.com, goes by the name of Skeeter. I also put in a WeaponKraft bolt buffer. I still have the standard barrell on it, plan on picking up either a Tactical Solutions or Green Mountain bull barrell in the future.

10/22's are one of my favorite guns to tinker with and shoot. I dont even know how many I have, there is at least 4 complete guns in my safe, and at least as many in parts. Enjoy, but be careful. They can become addictive.

You guys should look at whistle pig gun barrels, they make an aluminum barrel, I have one, they're sweet. I like that RB precision stock. Has anybody seen the 100 round mags? If so let us know. I have 3 of these little babies, I am going to convert 1 over to 22 short with the volqaurtsen kit.

I love 10/22's! My dad and I went together and bought my son a stainless with wood stock for his 14th birthday. My dad still has the one he bought when I was younger than that. We can't even count the 1000's of rounds of 22's that have gone down that barrel. A few years ago he thought it was finally wearing out, then he realized it was the mags, bought new ones and is still hums like a sewing machine! And just to give you an idea how long ago he bought that 10/22, he paid $28.95 at the local hardware store!

Wouldn't be without one.
