My first father's day present

Even though my son is just 11 days old I ordered my first fathers day present.

http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/E...51_Rifles.html

Since I became a dad I've re-thought my whole gun list. I might post my new survival gun battery in another thread later.

Ishy eh!! Not a bad idea

Of course at some point there will be the mandatory .22 rifle, for him - ready for that first trip to the range!

I'm thinking the Rossi .22, .410 youth model for my son. Just change the barrels and bam, new shooting experience. Plus then Dad can get the adult verison.

Get that little fella a .22 rifle, a decent scope in another box, and put it away. Later, when he is ready, you and him can go thru the fun of zeroing it in together. There is nothing like a father or grandfather teaching the kid to shoot for the first time. Get it now, cause later, it will either be too much or the politicians will have ruined it for everyone.

Hey Pgrass,

Check out the Springfield (now CZ) M6 Scout survival rifle. under/over single shot break-action .22 and .410. ammo stores in the stock. Very short and light. I bought one "for the kids." Truth be told, they love and so do I. Awesome squirrel killer. Funny trigger, but it doesn't bother me none.
