I am interested in obtaining a Remington 1100 LT-20 with a short barrel (<= 20") and rifle sights. I would also like a synthetic stock (particularly SpeedFeed w/ the built-in shell tubes) with a short LOP. This will be a defensive-oriented shotgun.

After much searching, I'm not able to figure out for sure whether or not the 1100 is still in production, or if Remington are just selling off old stock?

Also, is there a run-down of what factory options are available? I know I could add some of these items after getting the base model, but I'd rather save money if possible by getting as much as I can included in the original purchase.

The Remington site seems to only show which models are available but without discussing whether any options are available from the factory. I've also looked on Bud's and Impact Guns but the options seem limited.

I have a Remy Lt 20 w/ 21inch factory deer barrel and rifle sights, it is one of my favorite to shoot for just about anything but Turkey. I always piss off my Bro in law with his fancy trap gun when I outshoot him all the time just wish they came in 3" chambers.
