I had one once too Chris. I got it for $100 from an elderly gentleman that I used to hunt with. My dumb a.. sold it! I sure wish I had'nt done that. I must use this oportunity to shamelessly show off my Enfield:

I didn't start this sporterization but I sure finished it!

Looks nice - and I can understand your angst having sold it.

Seems overall most of us rue selling a gun ....... with few exceptions. Sometimes of course it is a means to an end - to get another more desirable weapon (at the time) - but heck - regret so often comes back to bite!

My bad too because I had assumed quickly but I thought after - gun in pic has longer barrel and no flash hider cone!!! No prob's ... your sporter is overall similar to mine probably - and the IV's do make good ones IMO.

Very nice, always wanted one of the blade bayonets, just have the spike for my No.4

As a cadet we used to drill with No.4 with spike bayonets, one kid put the spike through his shoulder while attempting to shoudler arms.

I hate it when that happens!

Good on ya' for beginning this thread and providing photos. I love British weaponry and militaria. There ain't no flies on either the Enfield or the Webley. I shoot several SMLE's and also a Boar War Webley Mk IV .455 and a WWII Webley MK IV .38/200.

Great guns there. I just missed out on getting a great deal on Enfield. Oh well, another will come my way again someday, but it is high on my must get list!
