Longbow... Mine is a tac driver.... I have the A2 Government Carbine. I just wish it had the detachable carry handle!
I am jealous! It looks sweet... I know you'll be happy with that evil black rifle. So far, mine is stock except I added tritium iron sights...

Thanks for the replies guys.
Other then a sling I believe I have her set up the way I want her. Still kind of up in the air weather to go with a single point or two point sling. After a little more research I realized I would need good BUIS. I added a Yankee Hill Machine (YHM) flip up back site behind the Eotech. I like it allot. Took her to the range this morning. First thing was to zero the irons through the glass of the Eotech. about ten rounds later I was putting the rounds in a 1" black square at 25yrds. very cool and was very pleased. Flipped down the rear irons and turned on the Eotech, holding at 6:00 o'clock first shot was perfect for elevation and about 3" to the right, a few clicks later and I was punching the center out of the 1" square. unfortunately the range was busy so I didn't get a chance to shot at 100yrds or longer. As CQB short carbine I think this set up is going to work great for what I intended. Yes there is still a big grin on my face. Here are a few pictures. As usual I forgot to take it to the range. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Longbow,
Can you co-witness the irons with your Eotech? My 6920 is setup similar, I have a Troy BUIS and use a Trijicon TriPower in a Larue cantilever mount as my primary. ![]() The first time I zeroed, I zeroed the irons first, then "co-witnessed" the Tripower to them, it was within 1 click of being on. Although the Larue has awesome RTZ, I still verify by co-witnessing every time I remove/replace the scope. The only other addition I'm going to make is a small rail on my M4 handguard for an Insight M3X light. I've been looking at railed forearms for a while, but really like the standard handguards and don't want any extra weight. All I want to do is have the ability to mount a light, so all the rails will be of no real use to me. Chuck

Hi Chuck
Yes I can co-witness through the Eotech. I'm really pleased with this set up. I went to the range Thursday morning, was able to use the 200 yard range and was very please to see I could consistently keep my shoots on a paper plate at that distance with the Eotach shooting off hand. Very pleased indeed ![]() ![]() ![]()

it's a fine weapon clean as it sits. some folks like vertical front handles, some don't. lasers and flashlights are common as well. i like all the above for a CQC weapon. here's my rig (technically not a true AR, but still common enough for this discussion)... ![]()
