Hi Guys-

I've never seen one, but does anyone know if they make a mag extension for Mossberg 500's?

Hey Kurt, I found this at Wilson Combat, It's for a Remington 870, but they could probably tell you where to get one for yours

I'm pretty certain TacStar does. The last time I looked, they were a Lyman company.

FWIW, I have one of their mag extentions for a Remington 870, and I have been very satisfied with it.

Kurt, if your barrel retaining nut screws into the magazine endcap, you can't get an extension, since the tube is one piece, dead-ended. IIRC, some of the newer 590s have a magazine cap, ala Remington, but I believe its certain designations, not "all" 590s. Good luck!

Try looking on ebay for an 8 shot magazine tube and 20 inch barrel. AFAIK that is the only way to add capacity to the 500. Aside from the sidewinder kit.

Thanks guys, but it appears that I am out of luck. My 500 is exactly as Rob72 described. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

I believe that would be the sidewinder kit that LMarshall73 was talking about.

Can't put a mag extension on a Mossberg unless you're a machinist w/ a vision! Gotta' get it from Mossberg extended already!
