A few years back my father gave me a 7.65 argentine mauser rifle. I have shot it quite a bit, but it is so cumbersome and HEAVY that it is useless for hunting. (Iwould need a rifle bearer)!
Does anyone know of an aftermarket stock for that action? I would like to restock it for hunting season this year, but would rather not butcher the original stock![]()

I am not at all sure, but considering how many rifles are served by ATI - maybe they offer something. Scot Van - a member here might be able to advise.
Another company is Choate - and they also make after-market rifle furniture.

That was the first high powered rifle I ever owned...I was 14. Mercy, that was well over 40 years ago. Had the stock shortened and the barrel shortened by a gunsmith/woodworker. Was a fine weapon after the custom work. Sorry, I know of no stocks available. Just wanted to chime in when I saw your post. Brought back some great memories of being a young boy with the mauser. Wish I had kept her.
