A local gunstore has "refurbished" Model 870 Police shotguns. They are parkerized, have Speedfeed stocks, ghostring sights but no magazine extensions. They bought a case from the company that refurbished them and have two left. I don't know who did the work but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Remington. The part-time sales guy wasn't sure who did the work. The parkerizing seems a bit rough, and there is some brazing visible where the brace between the magazine and barrel attaches to the barrel. Mechanically they seem fine, the actions are smooth.

They want $475 each. Does this seem reasonable?

I wouldn't pay $475 for a refurbished Rem, even if it was a factory job.

Might be a bit high on a referb price but those are the best 870 Police models out there. I don't think you can get and 870 Police model with gohst ring sites for less than $600.00, probably more like $675.00, might be more?

Big difference in even a referbed 870 P and an 870. If i would have seen this the other day I would have bought it instead.
