Need info on M1 Carbines

Looking at the possibility of picking up a WWII issue M1 Carbine on a trade.

Would like to research it a little bit to see what it is worth.

Can anyone point me to a web link where I might get information like that ?

Thanks !

Prices on authentic WWII issue M1 Carbines have skyrocketed! If it's the real deal, and you can swing the trade for less than $600, just go ahead.

Wow I hadn't kept up with the carbine market, I have one (Underwood) that I bought several years ago for < $300. It's a good shooter too, and I'm hanging on to it.

The last time I saw them advertised for the CMP I believe the least expensive ones were $595. I don't remember what the condition was for that price.

I have one and I love it. I seriously doubt I'll ever find a deal like that again though. Great condition for $200! I too will be hanging on to mine.
