Marlin camp carbine users:

I just swapped today for a Marling Camp Carbine in 9mm and I am just lookin for input and feedback on your experiences with them.
I do know about the recoil buffers needing to be replaced and this one has had this done.

And by the way, this carbine has the nickel finish! Looks like stainless but I did some research and found out it was nickel.

I had never seen one in this finish, does anybody else have one like it?

Let me know what you guys have done to yours so I can get some ideas.

Thanks!

I dont know much about the camp 9's other than they are commanding a premium price and they are lots of fun to shoot. I'd like to have one.

I have got a Camp 9 and a Camp 45 - have to say I have not checked either as yet re buffers - altho neither sees a huge ammo thruput these days. They both of course look about the same.

For 9mm the CX-4 Storm has somewhat taken over re popularity.

Camp 45

And I am looking to get my hands on one in 45acp. I know, I know I may be looking for a long time but I will still look.

larrupin - thx for the links, the last one is most useful. I removed the first you had mentioned as it came up dead.

Chris, thanks for cleaning that up,

Here's the best link so far:
http://www.alpharubicon.com/leo/marlincamp9war.htm

Complete dissassembly and reassembly with good pictures. If you google you can find this exact web article in an easier to print word format and the pictures print reasonalbly well at a usable size.

Enjoy,
