It's a piddly difference but I'd prefer the cross-bolt safety of the Maverick. The shotgun sure looks like a good value for someone wanting effective 12 gauge defense.

I'd love to know where I could find the grip and forend that you have in this photo. Great looking gun, by the way.

Sweet! Nice to see somethin different other than the usual bubba-ized tacticool hollywood movie guns

I have to say though, a knoxx stock is on my list, because the recoil on my 88 is pretty harsh, makes it hard to enjoy shooting. I think they make one that isn't a pistol grip too!

I added an elastic 5 shot shell butt cuff to it. Right now our apartment is small...well 1000 sqft....and my room faces right across from the front door. If I ever Have to use it, I figure the one shot is great, if that doesn't work, I would be better off going to either of the two hand guns. Eventually I will look for a pump gun, but this does the trick for now and will make a great hunting gun.

yes I have "worked" through my house with it, but will choose not to in an invasion situation,
my house layout affords me the ability to get my kid into our master bedroom and hold and defend my position if need be, one hallway to our bedrooms--if they want us they gotta come down that hallway and that would be very stupid to attempt
I have my G30 and HK 45 at the ready on my side of the bed also, as well as my wife and her G26, and the AK is ready to go with spare mags if its a big splatter hitting the fan

If loose gun laws are good for criminals, why do criminals support gun control?
