I've got a couple of AKs as well, one's a Yugo underfold; but they wouldn't be the first guns I would go for in the case of a home invasion. My XD would be first, then the Mossy if I have time. Wielding an AK in the confined spaces, and the capacity of the 7.62x39 to penetrate everything wouldn't make it a first choice in my book...

LMarshall - I used to be the same way. About 20/400 in my right eye. I just had the PRK eye surgery and now I'm 20/15 on the chart... I've always been 20/20 in my left and can still see better with that eye though. I think I've got a little bit of "haze" on my right. Either way, I still shoot long guns left handed because I learned that way.

Actually, my sig 229 would be my first choice as it is ALWAYS handy! I just have the AK's and AR's for fun, and as 'hurricane' guns here in south florida; my yugo
uf is actually my 'trunk' gun; in my lovely diversified and multicultural state one never knows what can tip things into total chaos...

I have a Mossberg 835 ulti-mag tactial turkey,loaded with remington 4x6 mag dulpex loads. with a G30 w/fed hd Shocks,230 gain.

I think that will work.

Don't have this one any more - sold it about two years ago... Its still a pretty nice one

The only thing I never got around to doing was putting a shorter barrel on it. Everything else was pretty much done on it though.
