Got mine on Saturday. Planning to do a Knoxx SpecOps plus a sidesaddle. Probably going to do a barrel shroud, too. Does anyone know if you can do Ghost Ring sights with a bbl shroud on an 18.5" bbl?

Nothing special, just a Class III AOW Remington Breacher. 10" barrel.

Neat little gun - those short barrels are fun to shoot. Everyone always seems to think they kick like a mule, but I think they're like pop-guns.

It's smoothbore. I get the impression people tend to prefer rifled barrels. I don't really know all of the rationale behind it either way. I do know though that the barrel was a good price and I imagine it'll be fine for my purposes. I am definitely interested in your and others' take on it though. I'm sure I'll slowly be upgrading and am open to any advice that's offered. BTW, that's quite the nice shotgun you've got there. Thanks to all for any advice ahead of time.
Take care, nasm |

Rem 870 TAC-3
Just ordered a new Rem model 870 TAC-3 12 gauge 7 shot. I handled the new 1100 TAC-2 semi-auto and just loved the way it felt. (Probably because I didn't shoot it.) I just couldn't justify an additional $250 for the semi over the pump which I feel is a better choice for me anyway.

Some people prefer a rifled bore since it will spread the pattern significantly in a short distance. Naturally the downside is a huge pattern at even moderate distances...

Here is my favorite shotgun. A 1930 SXS Western Arms (Ithaca) 12 gauge, 28" barrel and dual triggers. (I also have a Mossy 500 with 18.5" barrel but you have pics of those already)

This is the only picture I have at the moment. Its a Remington 870 express with wood furniture. I added a 20 inch IC barrel with rifle sights and a 3 round Choate Mag Extension. It is one of my favorite guns.
