I also have a Beretta CX4 (92 series) and use a drop down Daniel Defense Rail Tactical Light mount on the right side accessory rail with a BlackHawk Falcata Tactical Light. The light has a pushbutton on/off and momentarily on/off on the tail, which is operated by your thumb as you wrap it around a forward vertical grip. I have found this to be effective for quick on/off controlled lighting without fumbling with the carbine. I believe that the Daniel Defense Rail Tactical Light mount will accommodate most 1” diameter lights.

You can also mount a Streamlight TLR-1 light or TLR-2 light/laser on the left or right rail.

Photo’s here if interested.

Very nice setup EAJ! I've also got a CX4 (92 series) and was wondering who did your trigger job mentioned in your description under the photo?

Thank DrSal and Cap’n. I’m pleased you enjoyed the collection.

Jeff at Tactical Excellence in Florida did the trigger work on my CX4 for about $100 in late 2005, which included return shipping. I read that he was trained and certified by a Beretta gunsmith to service the CX4 and understand that he had a backlog of CX4’s for many months. It took about two months to complete the work on my CX4, but I was very pleased with the work.

I recently read in one of the forums that he was closing up shop, which I noticed on his web site this morning. His partner went to work overseas in 2005 and decided to stay. It’s my understanding that the workload became to cumbersome to handle on his own.

Sorry, but I don’t know of anyone else that handles trigger work on the CX4’s. You might check with Beretta to see if there are any certified gunsmiths/armorers in your area.

EAJ - ..WOW

Where is the switch for that mounted light? Couldn't tell from the picture. But that's a sweet setup. I'll have to start snooping around online to find a good deal on the light itself.

Shame that guy stopped doing business, I'm located in FL - that would have been all too perfect.

Mercalf,

I’ve added some photos to the CX4 area on my collection page (See link in previous post.) that show the StreamLight TLR-2 Laser/LED and BlackHawk Night Ops Falcata w/ Daniel Defense Offset Flashlight Mount installed on the CX4 side rail. Sorry about the quality – Shot them inside with available light while attending to trick-or-treaters at front door.

You can read more here about both products below. I don't recall where I purchased the Blackhawk light, but I do remember paying much less for it than they’re asking here. I did purchase the Daniel Defense Offset Flashlight Mount from Rainier Arms and they were pleasant to deal with.
