A buddy bought a "Match Grade" Colt AR 15-20 years ago, couldn't get any better than 2.5" at 100 yards with the best hand loads (My standard Bushy was shooting 1 inch with same ammo). He called Colt to complain and wanted to send it back to be "fixed"; he was told 2.5" meet their "in house" definition of "Match Grade" and would do nothing. I have seen other pure crap come out of Colt's factory which they would do nothing about (1911 slide cut crocked at the muzzle end, you could see between the slide and bottom of bushing), I would take a Colt if given to me; they make for good trades with suckers.

I like my Carbon 15 too. A bit lighter and less finish to wear off.

rocky,10-4 on the "lighter". Once you pick up a BFI Carbon series and find out how easy they carry you will make a grab for that if walking any distance is planned. I use my other BFI weapons for long range hunting of yotes, crows, and other critters but always take the Carbon15 on my little "walkabouts" accross the club or the miles of Escambia River that I scout prior to opening of hog season. My other two BFI guns will shoot under .5 MOA using the heavier bullets.------------

rocky,
It is referred to as a "Sear Block". Keeps someone from dropping an auto sear into the receiver. Here is a picture of one...

Since I work in the electrical utility business, guess where I have been for the last 2 weeks...

Momma likes the OT, I like sleeping in my own bed.

We are going to rotate in and out, 2 to 3 week rotations, probably for the next 6 months to a year. I'll check in whenever I can.

over the years ive owned several colts and i thought it was as fine a rifle as i had ever fired......until my first bushmaster. in my opinion, my 16" bushmaster is the finest assault rifle ive ever owned, bar none.
