Shot a Full Auto today.
My buddy bought a Reising sub gun. We went out shooting today. Lots of fun and it was fairly easy to control. .45 ACP fun. Also did some shooting with AR's and AK's too. Semi only on them though.

Rocky glad to hear you had fun. I find full auto to be fun. It's even better when someone else is buying the ammo (The Army for example). It's still fun when I have to buy ammo, just expensive.

I still have a GE Minigun on my Xmas list - but heck - Santa has never responded yet!
![]() I love full auto but not the ammo costs - and the chances of me ever affording one are slim - I do like to try em now and again.

Rock-N-Roll !!! Nuthin like it! hehehehehe The Reising is a really nice weapon to shoot. It was manufactured in large quantities due to lack of Thompsons. You'll find that a lot of PDs have them in their storage vaults.. and not know what they really are....

I love shooting Class III..but it's always better on somebody elses dime. I can't afford the tax stamp, much less the actual cost of the weapon. But being a good sort of buddy, I will pitch in 100 or so rounds and load the mags myself so I can play with a bud's weapon. Of course doing it totally on Uncle Sam's dime was the best: M2HB .50 BMG, MK19, M60, M249 SAW COAX (M1A1 Abrams) ... all the FUN STUFF. ~sigh~ Sometimes I really DO miss it.

Thanks to some cops in England,...
...I had the opportunity to fire a mini-uzi about 7 years ago. I had read about how one should fire short bursts so I figured I'd be cool and get off the trigger after 3 shots. Well, when I pulled the trigger, I must have run just about all the ammo out of the mag before I said to myself, "Hey, you, STUPID, get off the trigger.
OK. Now that I knew what to expect, I was able to keep it down to 3 shot bursts. Then last year, thanks to LFI-3, I got to shoot another uzi as well as an M-14. Now, that was cool. If I weren't pushing 60, one of those would be on my "gotta have and will move heaven and earth to get one" list. This year, at Gabe Suarez' Interactive Gunfighting class, someone showed up with a full auto airsoft gun. Not the same, but still a lot of fun and definitely a hell of a lot cheaper. |

Those things are impressive to shoot. I thought for a while, a long while, I was gonna have to have one of some kind, but in TN you cannot use a full auto for self-defense, so the only reason I would need one is for fun or war. For me, they cost too much just to have fun with, and in the case of war, I guess I'll have to shoot my AK-47, AR-15, or AR-10 really fast.
But they are fun to shoot - no doubt about it. |
