Got My Form1!!

For my AK pistol to SBR conversion

Before being SBR'd:

After receiving my Form 1:

It is equipped with an Ultimak rail, AR grip adapter, XS Big Dot front and Express rear sights, G2 trigger, a Phantom muzzle brake/flash hider, and a K-Var lower handguard. I added the ACE folding stock by drilling and tapping the rear trunnion block (the thing is between 1/2 and 3/4" thick).

That looks much better to me...Congrats. I just love an AK. I wish I had one. Ah, so many guns and so little time 'till November.

Nicely done ! Looks like a fun little gun!

Might I ask why you chose to convert a pistol to a SBR, and not a rifle to SBR ? Or was that a Krink-type kit assembled as a pistol on a new receiver?

I bought it as a pistol (all Romanian manufacture, including the receiver). After the first trip to the range, I knew something had to be done. To say it was wild to shoot is an understatement. Once I realized that getting approval on a Form 1 to SBR it was relatively painless, that was the route I decided to take. Submitted all of my paperwork mid January, and got the approved Form 1 back a couple of days ago.

I dig it man. The Arsenal model with the folder and the fake flash-hider that covers the rest of the barrel has caught my eye, but they're not quite like having the real thing.
