New Baby Shottie

Well I finally broke down and picked up a Mossberg 500 Persuader with a Knox Stock on it. Anyone used one of those stocks? I haven't fired it yet, but I am hoping that it helps out for when my gf shoots it. She's 5 foot tall and it really thumps her when she fires a 12 ga. It also adjusts for length for her and I.

Anyway, any comments on what to put into her? I have 00 buck TAP FPD ammo right now. I will probably get a barrel for bird hunting later and put the other stock back on it then for the hunt, then take it off for the house. Any comments about that?

Mossy are good shoties,

I don't know how much the Knox stock will help. We swicthed from a shotgun to a M1 carbine for HD because it is easier for my wife to shoot.

The changable barrels is my favorite part about Mossy's

We already had a good carbine - a M&P15T. I just always wanted to shoot a little clays or birds for hunting, and I dont get much of anything in the way of weapons without some good home application as well.

I've got the Spec Ops stock on my 590 A-1....and it's amazing how well it works. I've got Federal 000 buck loads for mine...you could shoot all day long and not get sore. I put this stock on to help my wife....shorten the length of pull and decrease the recoil. Haven't taken her to the range to try it...but I have.

Enjoy!
