Double Star AR Mags?

Budsgunshop.com has new Double Star AR-15 30 round magazines for $12 a piece right now. Anyone have any experience with these? Are they any good? Any other suggestions on good and affordable AR mags? I have an HK magazine that I love but $50 a piece is a bit much for me to be able to stock up one them.

Thanks.

For work and play I pretty much just use the green follower GI mags, like you can usually find for 10 bucks or so, they do the job well enough for me. That is until they get bashed on rocks too many times doing rushes and the baseplate snaps off, but that is a pretty rare occurance.

Back when I served we only had 20 round mags, and I don't remember ever beating the snot out of them, the 30 rounders do protrude a lot lower and i could see that happening,I'd hate to see all my ammo drop on the ground while i was in a fire fight

Thankfully it hasn't happened to me anywhere, especially not in combat. But I did see it on a range, sucked to be that Devil Dog. Nothin a roll of duct tape can't get.

A couple of my GI mags for work still have the printed restriction and dates of manufacture on em from the Ban ear, they still truck along just fine.
