AK Defensive Ammo
What type of defensive ammo do you keep in your AK? Wolf sells a FMJ and a JHP is the JHP a good round? It is the same price as as the FMJ so I have my doubts if it is any good.

I'll go along with the SP or PSP ammo as opposed to the HP's also. I've got a bunch, but I think PMC makes some good ammo with reload-able brass cases.

Use DPX when you care enough to send the very best.

Ammo
I have the Remington Core Locked JSP in my AKs. I also have a bunch of PMC JSP but it's out of production and I hoard what I have left. For serious self defense I would feel better spending more and sticking to factory loaded, brass cased, Boxer primed ammo with good old American quality control. Yes I have tons of Wolf and it's what I shoot the most of and I keep tons of it around for the next Katrina, but the 1st ammo in the gun shoud I need to grab it is brass cased JSP. I agree that the hollow point in the Wolf or Golden (Silver?) Bear JHP looks too small to be very effective, at least not much more effective than FMJ.

I figured that it was worth about what you pay for it. I will look harder for some higher quality ammo.

Thanks for all your responses. Now to find a reasonable source for the DPX.
