I've been following this thread, but without input as I don't know for sure. Originally thinking you may have had some headspace issues where the case wasn't 'shouldering' correctly in the chamber whereby not setting the case fully back against the bolt face as the possibility of the extractor moving forward laterally is possible. It appears now you're on the right track, and it's probably going to be your issue. Good thing to know you have a lot of support and great suggestions from the forum membership. We all dislike hearing of one's tribulations with their current project or firearm and hope things are cured quickly. Then we can all, collectively have some peace of mind. Good luck in everything you do.

AR
I have had some problem with a AR15 with Jewell trigger failure to fire. I cured it by polishing the firing pin with fitz polish as it was dragging in the bolt when it became carboned up.

UPDATE! Problem solved!
This is now fixed! I had incorrectly installed the hammer spring (dunno how) and it was causing the lite primer strikes.
Now, it runs like a sewing machine, only louder, and no misfires at all! Primer strikes are nice and deep too. Thanks to all for your help and suggestions!
