Yes it screws off...but it will probably be pretty tight...mine was.
Be careful not to twist the gun too hard when you unscrew it...after all...the lower and upper are aluminum. The barrel is 16 inches with the flash hider removed...so its not an SBR. |

I didn't get a sight tool with my M&P 15 either ... crap, it would've been a nice addition too.

Yeah I had to buy one for a AK sight system, but it works. Just wish it had came with my weapon! Would have sort have been handy, sense you can't use the nail / gerber tools on troy sights.
