Do you take your shotgun for a ride?

"OK guys 90% of us would grab our shotgun if you could grab only one on the way out."

CD's thread started with this sentence. It got me thinking. Do you grab your shotgun on your way out the door? Is that over the top? I always take mine when I travel any distance here in the desert. But everyday?

Not usually, simply because I don't want to leave it locked in a vehicle if I'm not in it. When I go places that I'll be staying overnight or something, it has made some of those trips.

No, but then again, one is waiting for me when I get to work. I might take a carbine with me on a road trip, but I've only done that a handful of times for defensive purposes.

No, but on a longer trip, I take extra sidearms and plenty of ammo.

Stay armed...plan ahead...stay safe!

Cross-country trips, the Benelli has come with me. Now that I have an AR-carbine, that will give my wife something to shoot.

Often when traveling a distance, yes. Usually when heading into the field. Daily? Nope.
