Any of the European metal mags, or the Bulgarian Polymer "waffle" mags. They can be found lots of places, easiest way is probably to just google-search and compare prices. Do not buy any of the American-made magazines (pro-mag, etc.).

Falcon Arms has some 40 round still in Cosmoline for 22.00.
As to the quality...call them and ask them some questions. Just posting the info 'cause I spotted them when I was ordering gun-springs. http://www.falconarms.com/xcart/home.php Brown stuff is Cosmoline...NOT Rust. ![]()

You should be able to find any quality AK magazines for $15 or less each. I think the polymer coated 'waffle' mags have gone up a bit from demand, but I wouldn't pay over $16-$18 for any metal magazine, 30 or 40 round. Best thing you can do for shopping is buy a copy of Shotgun News. Check any gun shows for bargains.

Disabuse yourself of the notion that AK mags are like AR mags. They are virtually (but not totally) indestructible and will run in almost any AK. I recently bought 10 AK mags that were rusted and looked ugly but a little bit of work later and they are running great. They came out to about $7.50 a pop.
Centerfire systems has good deals in new and used mags. Also Bear on a Rock have used AK mags. Some are willing to pay $20 or more for german mags and for the life of me I still don't understand why. Good price for used AK mags is about $12 to $14. ![]()
