This looks like a fun toy...1911 Carbine Conversion

I was surfing the web and I found this carbine conversion unit. It is on sale for $230. From all that I have read on the net it seems to work well. I was thinking that it would be a fun way to shoot 3-gun competition while I was saving for my AR.

Does anyone have any experience with a CCU?

I have discovered that the wilson combat is the same at the mech tech CCU but with a wilson barrell. Can anyone confirm this?

Looks like a mech tech. As Wilson only tunes guns, I would guess you are correct.

The idea appeals to me greatly - always nice to make one gun behave like two or more but - I am leary of them re function etc.

Be useful if one of us here has direct experience.
