Look under parts, they go for about $90. And Top Gun is one place I can recommend with out any hesitation. If you order and it's in stock, you'll have your stuff in 2-3 days. Right now the foregrips are in stock.

Am I correct in assuming there is no way this should be used for anything other than plinking or rabbit hunting? I mean, since it is a .22 it is not suitable for any home defensive purposes, correct?

Guns and more
I just bought a GSG-5 which is the H&K clone. But I think the 522 is much better looking. The Sig web site says "fall of 2009" so don't start looking anytime soon. I think the popularity of the GSG-5 is what got Sig going on a Evil Black .22. (EB2?)

Well...........I wouldn't want to be shot with one, but I wouldn't count on incapacitating a robber with it either.

Yes. For purpose of training on the cheap at close distance for close distance purpose while running the same manual of arms and firearm format.
Same as how many folks will run .22 top ends (or revolvers) matched to their normal duty/carry firearm for same purpose.
A .22LR can kill a person but to deem it as a first or even second choice for any manner of protection/defensive application ahead of anything else but pellets and BB guns would generally not be advisable.

BTW other manufactures are developing same considering the scarcity and cost of ammo for LEO training purposes alone never mind that of civilians wanting to plink on the cheap.

The ideal setup would be to have a Sig 522 to practice with & then a Sig 556 for showtime.
