i hate to say it but this is not the first time i have seen this from S$W either. i followed other threads about handguns where the same thing happened until it got dragged thru the mud on the internet with the same results/excuses. i have seen this happen on other forums/products/manufacturers too.

I didn't notice anything different aside from the rifle exploding and the dude next to me getting hit by magazine shrapnel and unspent rounds screaming "OMG YOU SHOT MEEEE!!!!"

Sounds like to me they are passing the buck. If they feel that the overpressure was due to the rounds why would they have to pony up to replace it.

Overall I am thrilled they will be replacing your rifle. I'm just glad I decided to build my own and without any S&W parts. Make sure to post up your new rifle when you get it.

Sorry to see the lackluster response from the manufacturer. Seems to me a new gun should be in order from S&W or Rem.

No,
But it Looks like are doing the right thing. I got this email last night.

"I did get everything and we have sent all photos and investigation reports to Remington. It is looking like Remington will cover the cost so we I am having our folks starting your refund. You should be receiving it soon."

I would really like to know if Remington was at fault, please post any info to that you receive from Remington that says it's a ammo related failure.

Thanks

Don't bring that up to other people might cause some issues (like rants).....It must be Remington, because there is no way that S&W could have produced a Lemon!
