I'm not going to buy any more Smith Bros cough drops either. And here I thought that stonewall was just a southern general. Did you get the check or new rifle yet?

Final Update.....
I got a reimbursement check from Smith & Wesson today.

Paul Pluff was the guy who got everything taken care of.
He got involved and was true to his word. He gave me time frames and never blew them. He dealt directly with Remington, and made the refund possible.

I didn't really want to put his name out there untill i was sure everything was going to turn out right.

Glad it worked out. Are you going to get another, or something else?

Don't know yet.
Getting another is not out of the question, Considering it was the ammo.

Glad to hear it got worked out. I am curious like the others whether Remington really admitted and paid for it or it was good excuse to put up a smokescreen.

This probably could have happened with any AR-15 rifle, given the right charge in the ammunition to cause the gun to explode. The M&P15 is still a quality firearm.
