red dot and magnifier question
If I add a 3x magnifier to my red dot (Aimpoint or EOTech), will the red dot still work like it does without the magnification. Meaning, will the dot still stay on POI regardless of where the dot is in the screen?
Anyone with experience with a red dot and a magnifier, please share your experiences. Thx. |

Yes, it keeps the same POA/POI. I often run a 3x magnifier (on a flip-to-side mount) behind my EOTech, and it works quite well. Because I am more likely to be engaging close range targets (50m and in), I usually keep the magnifier "flipped" out of the way; it takes almost no time to flip it into place if I need to make a longer range/precision shot. The whole set up isn't cheap, but it works.
