I dressed up my AR a bit!
I ordered some stuff for my M&P15 that I thought would be of practical use for any defensive carbine, and wanted to share my excitement for buying quality stuff. I can say I will never be using a single point sling ever again!
![]() Tango Down vertical fore grip Troy Industries railed hand guards VTAC 2 point padded sling I attached my Streamlight TLR-1 weapon light on the right side of the rifle. I absolutely love the VTAC 2 point sling. It is super quick to adjust to go hands free or switch to sidearm, and to get the rifle back into action. This sling blows away any other sling I have tried and would recommend it!

Nice lookin M4gery you have there. I've been thinking about getting a VTAC, but am so used to single points from work, I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I love my Streamlights...kudos on that. I like the detachable carry handle for sure. "Quality stuff" only needs to be functional stuff in my opinion. If you're going to shoot it a lot, I might suggest one more mod, and that would be an ergo-grip of some sort if available for your model. (I know.....more $, but not much in the grand scheme). Anyway.....I think you've done well with the practical stuff. Conservative in a way, but just right. Good work!
So....do we have a range report on this yet, or have I missed something? Surely you shot it the day you got it without all the amenities?

I shot it a few days ago but never got around to a range report. I ran 150 Federal XM193 55 grain rounds through it with no problems. I mostly shot at 50 yards without adjusting the sights and got 1"-1.5" groupings at that distance. Next range trip I'll try 100 yards and see what happens.
I am still looking for a better grip, just need to decide on one. One more thing I have planned is an Aimpoint red dot and that's pretty much it. The rest will be ammo and eventually would like to take a carbine course.

Go for the Aimpoint. I put a M3 on my AR and love it, alone with a BUIS from Larue that I co-witnessed. For my needs on the civilian side, that optic is just about perfect.

Sweet looking gun there! I am picking my AR up this week and I plan to do some of the same things you did to yours!

Not bad, I like the vickers better, not tail hanging around.
