Yep...I was and after 2+ yrs. of trying to get one in my hands, I gave up.

In my region they are rarer that hens teeth.
One shop I called actually had one, and it was 5 hrs. away two states away which I would have gladly driven or paid them to ship it!, but they were charging a rape fee premium.
So on general principal I refused the 'opportunity' and have put this to the back of my mind.

I'd love to have a 930 SPX though, at a fair price.

I have a 930SPX. After I got through the first 150 rounds, it's pretty reliable. It never has issues with any shells that have some power behind them. It still has issues with lower power shells. I tried to shoot some winchester AA out of it with no luck. It would short cycle and shove the empty back into the chamber. I've gotten into the habit of buying Estate Cartridge company (cheap stuff) #8 birdshot loaded to max dram equivalent. Federal hunting loads work OK most of the time. Any slugs or buck shot work 100% in it.

It works great for what it's meant for but still is not 100% reliable (by a long shot) with light loads.

I can find you one Jang, I found a few already. Buckeye's was found by my eagle eye. I didnt charge him a finders fee, so I wont charge you one either.

Seriously though, If you still want one I'll try to get one shipped to you at a fair price.

930spx

Mine was a hard one to find too. Seems like only two shops in the state carry them and not on a regular basis either. So when I found one I snagged it in a heartbeat. Then I had to get a mag tube support for it as that would be the first thing Id break off during heavy handling (abuse).

Thanks for the link Nek, that looks like it could also help fix my needing a light, and possibly putting a sling mount up front.

True story, I was at tri-county Dick's sporting goods the other day looking for bullets, and they had SPX's for $70 bucks more than I paid, your eagle eye did good, and you could got away with a finders fee.

Around here the prices tend to be somewhere between 550 and 650 Janq, I'm sure you could ship one to your local shop and still get a decent deal.

On those magazine extension tube supports for the 930, I bought both the flashlight version and the BTM version since I didnt know how I would set it up. For now I just have the BTM version installed to stiffen things up. I would like to install the flashlight version but have yet to find a 1" barreled LED flashlight. I'd prefer one with the corded clicky pad that would stick to the foregrip.
Do you happen to know who would make it?
Also, any of you 930 owners know how to disassemble & clean the gas piston portion? If so do you have a video of it?? I hear they gunk up after 4K-5K rounds.

Unscrew the magazine cap and take out the spring. Slide the handguard forward and off. Pull the bolt half way back and slide the barrel forward and off. Slide the pusher, spacer and spring off the magazine. Pull the gas piston out of the thing on the bottom of the barrel, it just pulls straight out.

That should be apart enough to clean it. The gas ports will be visible once you pull the piston out.

See the user manual.
