Rifle/Shotgun in truck legal in TX?

Does anyone know if it is legal to carry a loaded Rifle/Shotgun in a car or truck in TX or and if it needs to be in plain view or concealed? or have an idea where I could find out? If behind the seat, would you have to disclose that to an officer during a traffic stop like with your CHL

Need solid info from TX but I have been led to understand longarms are OK - just not handguns - tho since Sept was it - I seem to recall CCW holders now can.
