Militec 1?
Hi I was wondering how well this works in preventing rust on a blued carry gun? Also is it safe to use on alloy framed guns like my S&W model 42?

I have not heard anything bad about Miltec 1. I would do a google search on it and read all the product reviews you can find.
Good luck.

I have used Militec for over 20 years on my carry gun and every other gun I own. While working overseas some of my guns were not maintained for a two year period. Militec kept those stored guns rust free in their safes.
I trust Militec to protect the bores of my collection of 40 antique Winchester rifles. |

I am one of my Dept. of the Army Police force's armorers and this is what we use. We have not had any problems with it at all. With 16 Police Officers, unknown number of Rapid Response Force (army), and several dozen contractors (we qualify for overseas duty) this is quite a bit of weapons to clean and lube each year.

I have used Miltec for years on both firearms and as a oil additive in my vehicle engines. The lifter noise left once the Miltec went in. I believe it works as advertised.

I use Miltec-1 and Slip 2000 on all my weapons, don't have anything bad to say about either.
Been using Miltec since 97.

Last month I sent an e-mail to the Kahr support site to ask what they thought about Militec, since I wanted to use a high quality system to go with (what I believe) is a great gun--K9. The answer, which came in about 30 minutes, was an enthusiastic "Yes!". In fact the fellow that wrote me said that they use Militec on all of their Kahrs when they make them up at the factory. I've been using it and find it great. I also love the support Militec gives to our military.
