I've got whatever lube came with the Hoppes cleaning kit I bought. I use it very sparingly, otherwise my pistol gets kinda...fuzzy. Like bandit383 said, it's a great lint magnet.

I use WeaponShield overall, but a bit of Tetra Grease on the slide.

Both grease and CLP. Grease for small critical points where CLP would run out. CLP on the slide rails.

Weaponshield. All I use now. I clean with it and then lube with a few drops more after I wipe everything down. Great stuff.

Why spend mega dollars on high end specialty lubes?
A good high temp wheel bearing grease costs about $3.00.. tub lasts a lifetime.

Maybe, maybe not...I'd rather spend a few extra bux and get the piece of mind that you're buying a product developed, tested for, and used on firearms.

Militec1 and yes there is a heat treatment used to bake it on. Once done correctly it makes cleaning a piece of cake. Once they have had the treatment you can simply clean and lube in one step with Gunzilla.
