| Firearm Cleaning & Maintenance Guns are mechanical tools that require routine cleaning and maintenance to remain dependable. This is especially true for defensive weapons that must work as expected when you need them the most. This forum will cover these important areas and encourage you to ask questions before taking on an unfamiliar task. |

Question for Kimber Ultra Carry owners
When it gets time to change the recoil spring on your Ultra Carry do you get a new outer recoil spring from Kimber and change it yourself, get both the outer and inner springs from Kimber and change them both yourself, send the entire assembly to Kimber for them to change both springs or do you buy a new assembly from Kimber?
I am reaching the point in round count when I will be needing to change the recoil spring, and the manual is confusing as to how best to go about doing it. Thanks.

Ron,
I just let the local 'smith' do it. I purchase a lot of ammo and guns at the same place and they cut me a lot of slack for such items. Mine is way out of warranty...so it doesn't matter. Ken
