Firearm Cleaning & Maintenance Guns are mechanical tools that require routine cleaning and maintenance to remain dependable. This is especially true for defensive weapons that must work as expected when you need them the most. I'm another Militec-1 adherent. I've run Berettas, SIGs, and Smiths 3,000+ rounds over a week long class without needing to apply more lube (or clean the gun).

Breakfree CLP.

I have several gallons that I....uh.....purchased from the army surplus store.

It seems to work well enough, so I have no reason to switch before it runs out.

My standard is Breakfree CLP on handguns and the AR-15's. Tetra Gun Grease on bolt carriers and rollers on the M1A, Mini-14, FAL and AKM-47S.

Synthetic motor oil works very well in a pinch or even as a standard, all-around lube provided you aren't living in the sand box.

Mil-Comm Products - TW-25B – synthetic lubricant protectant grease or oil for firearms, fishing reels, locks and hardware. - TW25B Story

I started using it it on my alloy framed pistols, but now use it on everything. Great stuff.

Weapon Shield or Eezox (depending on the mood and cleaning location - i keep Eezox spray in my range bag) and Militec1 grease on slide rails and contact points.

Another Castrol 10W30 fan.

One thing's for sure... You can't argue about the price.
