Question on stock refinishing.
Once I get all of the old oil and grease out of the stocks for my M-1 Garands should I use raw or boiled linseed oil for an original finish?

LinSpeed Oil - at Brownell's is basically a thicker boiled Linseed oil.
Pure Tung oil is great also. Be careful with Linseed or Tung Oil soaked rags. They can and do spontaniously combust. ![]() |
