I have used FLITZ and it is truly a good product. The problem is I have not seen it anywhere in quite a while.

Don't use steel wool....it actually impregnates itself in the steel and will rust again...only faster. Scotch brite pad.

Not true.

Gunsmith grade super fine #0000 steel wool available from Brownells saturated with a few drops of quality gun oil will remove surface rust easily.

Finish it off with a coat of Renaissance wax, also available from Brownells.

If it has just a small rust spot use a pencil eraser
it will remove light rust without damaging the finish
like steel wool. then oil it good and wipe off excess oil.
once a holster gets a little rust in it from the gun it will keep
putting rust on the gun so clean that good as well
