Kimber Ultra Carry Replacement Parts to have on hand?
All,
I have read in several posts that it is important to have replacement parts for 1911's in case something breaks.....What parts should I have on hand for a Kimber Ultra Carry II??? |

Does Kimber recommend pretty frequent recoil spring changes on the shorter guns? Might be a good spare to have handy. An extractor is good-if you know how to install and tune it, but you probably won't need that for thousands of rounds more than a recoil spring. I'm not sure I share your concern that all 1911s require a stocked parts drawer at the ready.

Probabaly being overly cautious but I just want to make sure I have as many SHTF scenarios covered as possible. Kimber recommends replacing recoil spring at 5000 rounds.
