You know, I really like a topic or thread that gets lively, spirited and sometimes even a bit of heated debate going on it! And by god, Bumper and the crew do a great job finding and defining that "fine line" between civil debate and when it degrades into un-civil or vulgar discourse and outright flaming. that is not an easy task to do!

It is a shame when a thread does get closed or people don't seem to realize that while lively and spirited debate is great, This Isn't a Free-For-All!

I know for sure that, I for one keep the mods on their toes! I got the PM's to prove it.

But this is a great place, a great forum with great people!

I try my best not to upset people and greatly appreciate when the mods take the time to gently nudge me when I may may have gotten a little overexuberant.

Sitting here I get wrapped up in my own little world and sometimes not realize how hard the staff may be working in the background.

As far as I'm concerned they do a great job of keeping the drama out of the main stream so people don't have to see it.

I for one was totally unaware of what Bumper was talking about in his post, but may have seen it and just did not realize it for what it was.

I support Bumper in how this site is maintained and rules set forth to ensure civil discourse.

Which is why I pout like a little kid when I get "nudged" by a moderators PM for something I may have said. But I am happy they do because it keeps this the kind of place that I enjoy being at.

Sorry for the long rant and rambling!

Bottom line. Bumper & Staff of this forum have my support. 100% All the time!

I would also say that we understand that we're all human and sometimes post things that just don't come out quite right - most of the staff have been edited for breaking the rules, including myself. It's really no big deal to us, we pretty much take in stride.
I have had first hand experience with this and my experience supports 110% of what Bumper is saying. The Mods and Admins here have been very unselfish with their time when it comes to explaining their actions and are always willing to listen and entertain a civil argument.

This is by far the best team I have seen and we are lucky to have the leadership that we have. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Now, I have aready expressed my whole hearted support in a prior post to Bumper and the Mods for how they monitor the Forum to keep the posts civil and polite.

However, there is a potential downside to this, which needs to be mentioned: Speaking only for myself, I find myself, at times, trying so hard to be polite, to not offend, and not create any controversy by my posts that I sometimes refrain from saying, albeit nicely, what I really want to say. Spirited discussion of relevent topics is what helps makes this place so great. Let's not lose that.

It sorta like Bumper is daddy, and we live in his house. We can always leave. I happen to love it here, and there is no better forum on the internet, so there. You don't like it, leave. If you don't like it, there is something seriously wrong with you...

Here's another post in agreement with the "well done's". I stay because it is civil. Read the rules. If you don't like the rules, post on another forum. This is Bumper's clean little corner of the web and there are many of us appreciative of that. I don't have to worry about my kids looking over my shoulder as I browse around here.

Thanks Bumper for the clean place. Thanks mods for the broom work you do.

whatever actions a mod takes against any members here, have my 110% support. i personally have been "spanked" once or twice by mods, but it was always done rationally, civilly, with a thorough explanation as to why i got the spanking; i've never had cause to complain about my treatment here. if anyone ever got banned, i'm pretty sure it was deserved. a big thanks to all the mods here who keep it civilized, keep it clean, and keep it real.
