Problem with the Smiley Faces

Everytime I click on MORE in blue next to the smiley faces my computer wants to crash. I'm assuming this isn't normal.

has this come up before?

Sorry to say - it's an old problem. Bumper has tried some fixes before but for some reason it seems there could be one or two ''rogue'' GIF images in there which cause almost everyone to experience a crash.

Only solution - which could be very time consuming - would be starting from scrtach and rebuilding.... to try and find the bad one or ones.

That much time is something Bumper has not had so far and it's likely to stay that way yet a while. Others have noticed this before.

it always works for me if i use Mozilla Firefox. regular internet explorer? ...forget about it. i know for others it's the same deal.

As Chris said, this is a problem we have been experiencing for quite a while. After finding no fixes for it, I contacted Tech Support and they said they verified that it had been reported but appeared to be something related to Internet Explorer. I found only a couple of references to the problem from other forum admins. When IE7 came out, I moved over to Firefox and have not had that (or any other problems) with browsers. I was hoping the IE spazzing would be fixed in one of the VB upgrades, but it appears not. I have, in the past, expected the problem to be caused by a corrupt smilie, but to date have not found a bad one....

I have found for me, that it happens after so much time passes. So if I scroll down really fast, I can find the one that I want. Sometimes it takes a couple of attempts. If it is one that I like, then I just remember the text for future reference.

Yep, it sure goofs up my computer also. If you let about half of them load and then stop the page from loading you can pick from those...because it happens somewhere toward the end of the page being fully loaded.
