Site slow - Server having meltdown?

Well, over at XDTalk.com the server is being replaced again after less than a year due to massive influx of new registered users.

I noticed that last two or three days the site here is acting weird and slow. Is it also server overload?

Possibly. I am noticing problems everywhere today.

I guess the intrawebz is overloaded due to the MLK day and the Immaculation tomorrow

I haven't noticed it being slow except for about 5 minutes a day when something is going on. I have an email in to the host to see if they can figure it out and correct it....

I would guess that the mass throughput of emails that occurs each night at midnight might slow us up a bit, but haven't noticed anything else.

Haven't noticed anything lately. But I still can't seem to stop posting an hour into the future for my local time. And of course....it's working fine now! Hmmmmm..........

One day last week at around 5 pm I noticed a considerable slow down, but I presumed that was due to everyone checking their favorite website before heading home for the day. So I just turned the computer off for the day.

The next morning it worked just as great as it always has

XDTalk will be fixed by next month. They raised over $2500 in under 36 hours from donations/membership donations to buy a brand spanking new bad azz server.
