threads closed question

just was curious..
i was going to add a post to a Hornaday 9mm thread... but it was closed.
Is there a certain time limit that a thread stays open and then it closes?

Yes there is...but I don't know how long exactly before it goes into the archives. If you still have something in mind, visit the closed thread (due to time limitations), copy and paste pertinent info if necessary, and start a new thread about your question or the subject. Know what I mean?

I was thinking that it probablly had a time limit, and do understand that.
i just didnt want to start another thread when it could tag on the other one but i will do that.....

I believe threads are closed by the script after 90 days with no posts. Unless they are manually closed by staff for some other reason.

There's your answer. If a thread continues to have responses it should stay open indefinitely, but without posts, a script automatically closes it after 90 days of inactivity....
