I made a donation to DC... The payment cleared paypal. I'm assuming bumper has to receive the funds before I'm approved as a "contributing member" and get a spiffy purple name tag and a site supporter award?

That is correct. And, you have to consider that I have had, lately, a very erratic schedule, especially on weekends. You have now been "purple tagged".
